YOUTH PROJECTS

Personal Best has been Hampshire’s largest provider of the National Citizen Service programme for almost a decade enabling teens to learn essential life skills, build their confidence and make a positive contribution to their local community through Social Action projects.   Over 20,000 local young people have benefitted from NCS and their work has benefitted over 200 charities in Hants through over 300,000 volunteering hours and and raising over £250k since its inception.

SAFETY & WELL-BEING

Since 2012 Personal Best has been at the forefront of cycling safety standards in Hampshire as the main regional delivery provider for the nation’s Bikeability Scheme. Having equipped over 50,000 children with the key skills required to navigate the ever-more challenging roads they face on a daily basis, our expert trainers ensure Hampshire’s young people are kept as safe as possible, whilst enjoying the benefits of exercise without leaving a carbon-footprint.

EMPLOYABILITY SCHEMES
Personal Best is involved in a variety of vocational programmes to help people into jobs and improve their prospects of building a successful and sustainable career.  As an approved Gateway Provider of the UK Government Kickstart Scheme, Personal Best assists in placing young people in likeminded organisations to give them valuable work experience whilst gaining new skills which will improve their future employability outlook.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROJECTS
One of our key aims at Personal Best is to ensure the community is at the heart of everything we do and offer support to those most in need.  Initiatives have included free childcare provision for key workers and vulnerable children as well as carrying out weekly food drops during the COVID pandemic.  We also  support community projects such as combating loneliness, homelessness, free-school meals and more.
